Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Slidespan (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including individual users and organizations ("you" or "your").

2. Description of Service

Slidespan is a presentation governance platform that helps teams automate, monitor, validate, and manage Google Slides presentations. The Service includes features such as batch processing, rule-based validation, scheduled monitoring, approval workflows, and team workspaces.

3. Account Registration

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. Plans & Billing

The Service is offered under multiple plan tiers (Free, Pro, Advanced, and Enterprise). Paid plans are billed monthly unless otherwise agreed. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' prior notice. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe you are entitled to a refund.

5. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to process content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
• Exceed the usage limits of your plan tier through automated or abusive means.

6. Your Content & Data

You retain all rights to the presentations, data, and other content that you process through the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to access and process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service as directed by you.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not use it for purposes unrelated to providing the Service.

7. Google API Usage

The Service integrates with Google APIs (Google Slides, Drive, Sheets). Your use of these integrations is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. We access only the Google data you explicitly authorize through OAuth consent.

8. Team Workspaces

If you create or join a team workspace, the workspace owner and admins may have visibility into workspace activity, shared assets, and approval workflows. By joining a workspace, you consent to this shared access as configured by the workspace administrator.

9. Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. Key data protection commitments:

• We process your data only as necessary to provide the Service and as instructed by you.
• We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
• You may request export or deletion of your data at any time.
• Data retention periods are defined per plan tier in our Privacy Policy.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform scheduled maintenance, and the Service depends on third-party providers including Google and our infrastructure partners. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slidespan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination takes effect.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Slidespan operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
